Christine Chappell (author, wife, mother, marketer) joins me to talk about becoming a Christian as an adult after the untimely death of her father and what that first year was like for her. Christine struggled, like I did, with the process of growing and maturing rather than being instantly sanctified. She wants us to know that the head knowledge we learn about God and the Bible has to get into the heart and that is where change happens.
So, this has been a rough couple of weeks and I let the episode for this week go. But! I did want to share with y'all some of my favorite shows in case you need something else to listen to this week. See you back next week!
In no particular order, the podcasts I most always listen to:
Sermons by Francis Chan
Mom Struggling Well
Inspired to Action (Mom show)
The Big Boo Cast (two mom friends chatting)
This American Life
Hope Writers (Good for any creative person)
A Mom's Mission Field
A few others that are good that I didn't mention in the show are My Light Still Shines with Retha Morgan and The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey. I didn't post links because I don't know which platform you listen on and surely if you're listening to this show you can figure out how to find the other shows. Love ya, mean it!
My friend Teresa Stowell joins me to talk about her journey of discovering the connecting pieces between the well-known stories of the Bible when she started digging for information. Now, Teresa uses her wisdom and experience to teach on Instagram! Follow her @rtstowell
My old college pal, Megan McCool, is here to talk to us about her journey to understanding why it is important to practice spiritual disciplines like praying, reading her Bible and attending church or being in community with other Christ followers. She talks about relying on God during times of loneliness and uncertainty and the new lesson He is teaching her about being still and abiding in Him.
Here are the links to some of the things Megan recommended:
